The Creeping Wulf is a powerful symbol of adaptation in the world of Berceau. Said to have been born of snails and something far fiercer, the two beings were merged against their will. A ferocious soul persisted in the small body which might have been a torment for the creatures, yet they found their way rather impressively. If the grim visages of the ghost stones affixed to their shells aren’t enough warning to those who dare to cross them, then a bite from the tiny venomous fangs and the fatal hallucinations that follow usually do the trick.
I’ve spoken before of change as a soft thing, but for the times when it feels sharper, the Creeping Wulf is a reminder of harnessing one’s inner ferocity to adapt and fight in the face of adversity.
