There’s a French saying that goes ‘rien ne se perd, rien ne se crée’ in essence, nothing is lost, and nothing is created. All things come from something else. The strange alchemy of the earth can seem cruel and dark, mysterious and frightening only because we can’t understand it. But what if it’s a kinder thing? Perfect and graceful in its ever-shifting, delicate structure, and each of us a beautiful piece of that complex balance able to live as the brightest stars, only burning out to feed the cosmos with a dust that creates something new.
