Lift your eyes to the cosmos and reclaim your mind
Rage can be a blinding emotion and it’s one I’ve liked exploring with this creature in various works over the years. I’ve recently been thinking of the ways in which our doubts and emotions can both empower and ensnare us. With this painting, I was thinking of those times when our anger rises to a peak, blinding us and making it feel as if we were lost in a sea of darkness. It’s in these moments when we must choose to push forward into brighter places wherein other perspectives and viewpoints exist for how can we ever expect to progress if all we see is the heat in our own eyes?
